SERGIO RAMOS has agreed a new deal with Real Madrid that will keep him at the club until 2020, according to reports in Spain.
The latest developments will end interest from Manchester United, who have tracked the Spanish star all summer.
AS claim Ramos will earn around
£7million a year after penning his latest contract.
United legend Rio Ferdinand previously expressed concerns that Ramos was using the club to force Real into offering improved terms.
And he is now expected to meet with officials in Madrid on Thursday to hammer out the finer details.
Talks should go smoothly and they hope to announce the news before they face Galatasaray in a friendly next Tuesday.
The La Liga giants are expected to go all out and present Ramos to all four corners of the Bernabeu - as they did with Cristiano Ronaldo.
It will come as a bitter blow to Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal, who had singled out the 29-year-old as their top summer transfer target.
With Real still chasing goalkeeper David de Gea, the Premier League giants were holding out for the defender as part of any deal.
However, they will now have to turn their attentions elsewhere, with Nicolas Otamendi a viable alternative.
