Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays a prisoner in his upcoming film Badlapur, meets Nasik jail inmates to understand their way of life.
Known to be a method actor who delivers life-like performances, Nawazuddin Siddiqui went a step ahead to prepare for the role of a prisoner in his upcoming revenge drama, Badlapur.
The source adds that it wasn’t just a visit, Nawaz in fact mingled with the prisoners to understand their way of life. "He chatted with them to get an insight into their daily life and adapt to their body language — like how they eat, take a bath and stay inside the jail. For a few days, he even lived the life of a prisoner to get into the skin of his character," adds the source.
Confirming the same, the film’s director Sriram Raghavan says, "Nawaz used to observe the inmates of Nasik jail and would strike a conversation with them as and when he could. In fact, gradually Nawaz became so comfortable that he had thought of staying back there for a week just to relax."
Produced by Dinesh Vijan, directed by Sriram Raghavan and presented by Eros International and Maddock Films, Badlapur is all set to release on February 20.
