While some actors of the film industry refrain from talking about their past, adult film star-turned-Bollywood actor Sunny Leone has no qualms about discussing it. In fact, Sunny admits that she is a public figure today because of her past. “I know I am in this position today due to my past. This is why I’ve never believed in shying away from it or being ashamed of it. Also, I can’t erase the omnipresent internet, so what is out there, is out there!” says Sunny.
Even though the 33-year-old continues to sport a bold image in all her films, the Jackpot actor is more than open to play something conservative. “Why not! I’d like to play conservative roles if that is what the story demands. When I am offered any project, the story is always paramount for me,” says Sunny, adding, “I don’t want to limit myself in a certain area. I feel that if one does that, they end up blocking their creativity.”
While she feels that she has made some mistakes in her Bollywood career, Sunny says that she has no regrets. “There are things which I feel I could have done differently. But I feel that I have learnt a lot from my journey, and so, have grown,” says Sunny, who has been seen in films such as Jism 2 (2012) and Ragini MMS 2 (2014).
Meanwhile, the actor was also in news for an FIR filed against her during her visit to Surat, Gujarat. While she was in the city to promote her upcoming film, a local filed an FIR claiming that there were pictures of Sunny going topless in a private party hosted by a Surat-based diamond merchant. However, Sunny refutes these rumours. “I haven’t got any information about this, neither have I got any paperwork, she says, adding, “I’ve not done anything wrong or broken any rules in this country. I have always respected the people here, and have kept to myself.”
