Winning an Oscar is liking reaching the moon for a celebrity from any corner of the world. It is obvious as Oscar is the biggest Hollywood awards where it is not even easy to reach. However, we have some talented stars in the industry who have not won one but many more Oscar golden statuettes in their career. Be it the Oscar wins or nominations, there are some celebrities who have become Oscar favourites. From Meryl Streep who has got the highest Oscar nominations (this year 19th) highest Oscar winning actor Walt Disney, we have some highest Oscar winners who made records. Considering several categories at the Oscars, we have made a list of highest Oscar winners and record makers. While some of the legendary Oscar record makers and highest winners are no more with us, but their films are living with us. For example, the gorgeous late American beauty, Katharine Hepburn is no more but her legend lives as she is still the highest Oscar winning actress who won four awards (1933, 1967, 1968, 1981), all for Best Actress. Meryl Streep stands close this year to Katharine with her nomination in Best Supporting Actress for 'Into The Woods'. Daniel-Day Lewis is the highest winning actor with 3 awards (1989, 2007, 2013), all for Best Actor. Coming to most nominated Oscar Best Picture, two films (All About Eve, 1950) and Titanic (1997) received 14 nominations each. Sadly, we also have seen Oscar nominees who have got majority of nominations but have not yet win any golden statuette yet. The Turning Point (1977) and The Colour Purple (1985) have won 11 nominations each, but did not win any award. In actors category Peter O'Toole got 8 Oscar nominations but never won. However, he received an Honorary Award in 2002.
