Jamaican sprinting legend Usain Bolt has committed a football crime.
The avid Manchester United supporter ditched his colours and donned a
brand spanking new Arsenal jersey after losing a confident bet
with Mexican television presenter Patty Lopez de la Cerda.
Bolt, a holding midfielder by trade, once publicly said he was good
enough to play for his beloved Manchester United and tried to
convince
then manager Sir Alex Ferguson to give him a trial at Old Trafford…
something that sadly never materialised.
The six-time Olympic gold medal winner was so confident that United
would beat Arsenal on Sunday that he was willing to commit to a high
stakes wager with the Mexican presenter who is a keen Arsenal supporter.
Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger crumbled in midfield,
Sanchez ran riot and Arsenal won 3-0. The result? A specially modified
Gunners shirt with ‘Bolt 9.58’ on the back – his world record 100m time:
