"I was diagnosed with lupus, and I've been through chemotherapy. That's
what my
break was really about. I could've had a stroke," Gomez revealed to
the magazine.
"I wanted so badly to say, 'You guys have no idea. I'm in chemotherapy.
You're assholes.' I locked myself away until I was confident and
comfortable again," she told the mag. The full cover story will be
released today (Oct. 8).
The singer came back stronger and sexier. Her breakout single "Good
For You" and recent track "Same Old Love" have been creating a lot of
buzz over the change of voice and a sexier image of the 23-year-old
Disney star.
Well, the singer turned actress also admitted that she is venting her
frustration and anger through her music.
"I'm so f--king nice to everybody, and everyone is so vile to me.
I've been working since I was 7. I've been a UNICEF ambassador since I
was 17. It's so disappointing that I've become a tabloid story," Selena
said. However she also credits her critics as a driving force for this
album saying, "The hate motivated me."
Her highly anticipated album, Revival is releasing in a few days.
Meanwhile, the star teased a Revival tour on Instagram with a video
stating the tour will begin in May with stops throughout the United
States and Canada. The tour will gradually go abroad.
