Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma arrive hand-in-hand from Australia

India's 95-run defeat during the World Cup semi-final on Thursday was pinned on an unlikely target - Virat Kohli's girlfriend Anushka Sharma. The Bollywood actor was trolled and called derogatory names like 'panauti'. 

Now, it is the turn of the Indian vice-captain and the spunky Bollywood star to give an apt answer. Taking on the bullies, the couple arrived back in India on Friday night from Australia hand-in-hand and very much in the public eye.

Virat was a supportive boyfriend throughout and accompanied Anushka to the car. He also ensured that she was safe and comfortable as they made their way to the car.

Anushka had travelled to Sydney to watch India take on the home team and that made her the butt of unjustified ridicule. Virat made only one run before he walked back to the pavilion.

The couple signifies the coming together of India's twin obsessions -- cricket and Bollywood. Their every step is followed by media and public alike and such blame-game happens every time Virat fails to perform on field.
